Hi ya'll!

This is day 2 on the IBS, sugar free, exercise diet LOL

I am detoxing from sugar withdrawl. I have to eat quite frequently. Getting in soups and rice/brown rice pasta and trying with my liquids too (but for some reason water makes me nauseous!?) Anyone wanna go through sugar withdrawl with me...or at least be my encouragement?

IBS diet...I have y'all on my team already!!!!

Drinking enough water a day...anyone for that? (I'm still working on my 3rd glass!)

And how about exercise? I rode my bike for 5 mins (remember...fibro girl here), danced for 15 mins and lifted soup cans LOL (This was yesterday btw).

I need support to keep this up. Each thing I'm doing supports the other thing I'm doing...ya get me?

So...whaddya say? Will you be my buddy?

*hugs*

I definitely need to drink more and exercise more, so I can help with that, if you can help me too! I'm drinking about 32 oz of water a day (I have one of those Nalgene water bottles and I drink about 1 of those a day) and the most exercise I get on a good day is the 20-30 minutes walk into work with my laptop bag on, but I get lazy and take the bus most days. So how about it, Ruchie dear? I'm not nearly brave enough to cut out my sugar though!

I'm with you on the exercise thing. I've been trying to get to the gym as much as possible. As for the sugar thing, I can sympathize with you - it must be so difficult! Hugs to you sweetheart!

An exercise board, sugar detox board, lose weight board, chug a lug your water board?

Seriously though, here are my goals for today:

Eat less than 1,900 calories, drink 6 glasses of 12 oz. water glasses, bike for 10 mins and dance for 20, and not eat any sugar! *phew* Alright...your turn! WE CAN DO IT!

*hugs*

You keep at it girl! Sounds like you've got the strength too! I would join you in the sugar thing but I'm trying to put my weight back on, but will be lowering the sugar once I have! So if you are still doing it then, I'll be with ya! xx

I can't cut it out or I'd have a hellacious time getting the calories I need to maintain my weight in while I'm in this training mode... it makes some fo the stuff I eat more edible and higher cal.. since I can't have anything fruit really- other then applesauce.. I don't do a ton of sugar, but it helps with some things...

I am definitely on the exercise bandwagon (see my post in the living room about biking) and water is my friend.. I need to actually go up there too.. already was at 64 oz a day, but I haven't been doign as well at that recently, and I need to go up because when I am biking this much I'm sweating more...

and of course- IBS diet is my saving grace!

well done! it is so great to have you back and so positive. I will support you but won't give up my sugar, life too hard without it. I will try to do the exercise thing now that I am a bride to be and want to tone up!

Keep up the good work

I walk on my treadmill every morning for an hour. I am trying to increase my intensity every week. Next week, I will either increase the speed or the incline...have not decided which one yet.

Keep up the good work!

after only 2 glasses of water yesterday I'm not doing real well on this front. As for the exercise I run round after the kids all day and barely have time to shower (I'm usually jumping out of the shower to stop them doing someting naughty-lol). But I wanted to say I admire you for taking all this on! Congratulations and best wishes and if you need support I'm here for you (as are we all).

I'll sign up to be your buddy. I need to get away from all sugar, coffee and alcohol. I feel I have so many vices since I joined this board.

I'm already pretty good about exercise. I do free weights or the Orbitrek or Firm tapes every day. But I'm happy to push, opps I mean encourage, you to exercise every day. It DOES make you feel so much better. I'm planning to join my local gym next week to start pilates. I find although my muscles are toned and fit, they are not very flexible anymore. Hopefully Pilates or yoga will help.

Thanks for all the replies!

Yesterday I biked for 16 mins...so I'm stepping it up a bit each day. Today I took a break. No sugar today! No meat, no dairy, SFS, water, all get a CHECK! How'd everyone do with their goals today? Cindy...right on! We CAN do this! *hugs*

Thanks again everyone! Hope to hear how you're doing!

Love,
Ruchie

a) get a water bottle you can carry around with you and sip constantly...

b) chasing the kids is exercise as long as you are physically running around... get a pedometer and see how many steps or how many miles you go in a day.. my old job had me walking around the building all the time... and I was walking a few times a week with a friend and I got the pedometer for our walks, ut I wore it to work one day and discovered even though it ws broken up in short bursts I was walking FURTHER during the day then I was on our planned walks!

I usually drink more than that. It was a bad day and I drink more when it's cold because I have all my herbal teas and stuff.
I agree about the walking. I should get a pedometer! Some days I go to bed and my legs are so sore and I think about how many times I chased Jacinta around the lounge/hallway/kitchen area trying to get her into bed that I think that alone must add up to about 300 steps! (I do this for about an hour at lunch and again for 3 hours every night!). I guess you don't really think of it as exercise when it's being a parent or working huh?
