Are the butter flavored crisco sticks OK for baking? Another silly question I'm just starting to re-adjust to life w/IBS- Can I buy soy cheese and milk at any grocery store?

they are fine to bake with in general- crisco cookies are softer then butter due to chemical differences.. but the bigger issue is crisco is still very fattening and I tend to shy away from it in the IBS sense... its very bad for our tummies though not as bad as butter (I don't know about the butter flavor as I haven't checked the ingredients for hidden dairy sources)... I do soemtimes eat small amounts of things I've made with it for other people, but for myself I find except in cookies I can sub applesauce and a small amount of canola oil in ANYTHING.
