I am trying to get some new ideas for dinners this week that both my husband and I will like. He is kind of a picky eater so it makes it hard to fix something easy on my stomach that he will enjoy, too. Any suggestions? Easy...quick...and delicious...

Nugget - Here's dinner for tonight. My husband and I love this stuff:
Baked shrimp in Lemony Garlic Sauce
prep time: 8 min cook time: 8 min
For 4 servings:
1-1/4 lb shrimp peeled and deveined 1/4 c fresh (or reconstituted) lemon juice cooking spray I can't Believe it's butter spray 3 garlic cloves minced or chopped 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 3/4 tsp lemon-pepper seasoning 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley or cilantro
1. Preheat oven to 425. 2. Arrange shrimp in single layer in 13x9 baking dish sprayed with butter spray. 3. Combine lemon juice and rest of ingr and pour over shrimp. 4. Bake at 425 for 8-10 min or until, shrimp are done. Serve immediately over rice.
Serv size: 3 oz. shrimp and 2 tbsp sauce = 3 points cal 117 pro 18.1 gr fat 4.0 gr carb 2.6 g fiber 0.2 gr chol 171 mg
I use about 18 large (20/lb) shrimp for the two of us and use the same amount of sauce because we love it so much.
Let me know if you make it and how it turns out.

Sounds wonderful Sharon...but my husband can't eat shrimp...they are too rich for him. His system can't tolerate some seafood. I might try it sometime, though and make something else for him. I love seafood!

Does your husband like chicken?
If so these two recipes of Heather's are really easy with very little preparation.
Easy Peachy Chicken Breasts
Five Spice Chicken
We really like them both. Kerrie

Hello Nugget!
Here is a favorite:
I love sweet potatoes (with white flesh)microwaved for about 5 min on each side. I take the peel off of mine. Then I cut them in to chips (I guess we call them fries here) and bake them until they are to your liking. Then I plate them up and pour ketsup all over them. I fix these every week for my grandma and I and we also love to eat these cold.
Since I am new to all of this I am still learning.
What are some of your favorites? Sheri

I am a creature of habit, so once I find my favorites, I tend not to stray, I have a couple, for instance, I often have for dinner rather than breakfast; Egg Beaters w/a sourdough english muffin with strawberry jam and banana, a favorite dinner would be Boca burgers with rice or Heather's New Potatoe recipe. I also do alot with Canned Chicken Breast only (not mixin chicken!) Swanson's brand. It is good cold on bagels as well as warm with rice and steamed veggies. Hope this helps! SharShar

Hi Nugget,
my favourite safe dish is one I call my "special fried rice", it's also a great way to use any left over cooked rice.
Garlic and ginger minced and fried in a tiny amount of oil, add grated carrot and zuccini (gosh, forgot how to spell it!,) plus mushrooms, snow peas and asparagus or whatever your favourites are...cook adding a bit of water....add cooked rice, a splash of soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce. Depending on how well I'm feeling I sometimes add crushed cashews (kinda make the dish really).
Takes me only 15 mins (even when I have to precook rice)...and I adjust the vege content to how I'm feeling.
I love it....hope its what your after
