I was wondering if there are any other good peppermint foods or drinks helpful to IBS other than the peppermint tea (I really don't think I can get used to it). Also, is Fiber One (the cereal) soluble or insoluble? Should I be eating it? Thanks!!

Peppermint Altoids are a very popular alternative to the tea. They are a very strong peppermint candy that comes in those little tins. Plus, a lot of people take peppermint capsules instead. You can get the enteric coated ones at the HFS. I know enzymatic therapy makes a good one.

As far as Fiber One, that is extremely insoluble fiber. As insoluble as you can get! Plus, it has artificial sweetner in it (nutrasweet) which makes it a double whammy! Heather and others on the board would probably discourage eating this food. But having said that, everyone is different.
