Thanks!

hee hee hee....you said 'tard. I LOVE that word!

MoM = Milk of Magnesia. And by the way, the chocolate cream flavored one tastes like arse! I like the new French vanilla flavored one.

LOL

Milk of Magnesia...now I get it!

Is that stuff addicting? (Do you take it often or just for emergencies?) Does it really help you go? I may just be getting myself some...

Fireballs? Yuck! Oh well, a word about the MoM. My gastro doc told me that I could use it every day for the rest of my life, if I wanted to. It does make me go, but regardless of what he told me, I'm skeptical. It's a laxative, and I'm afraid to become dependent on it. Any words of wisdom about this, Heather?

If you are backed up, I say give it a go. BUT, beware to only use it in truly desperate situations. I rarely use it more than once per month, as I don't want my system to become dependant on laxatives. That's only giving my body the easy way out.

You will find that it does work and it does work well. It would be easy to down a coupla tablespoons per day to get things moving, but in the long run, this is HORRIBLE for your body, so don't even think about it!

I suggest Phillip's Milk of Magnesia, French Vanilla flavor, before bedtime. True to its word, you'll be making a run to the potty before the alarm.

Good luck!

Phazyme is an anti-gas product with simethicone. Similar to Gas-X, and other anti-gas products.

Beaglelover--My GI told me the same thing about MOM because it is nothing but Magnesium and just moves water into your colon, but like you I only use it when things just aren't moving like they should,

Jules -- thanks for the Fireball tip, I am going to Wal-Mart at lunch (I'm in Mississippi by the way) I will grab a bag and give it whirl, I love them anyway.
