Looking for flu medicine suggestions. Many of the over the counter medicines upset my stomach(probably because they contain sorbitol). Does anyone know of a gentle medicine?
Thanks!

What are your symptoms? I find that peeling and slicing a fresh ginger root and boiling it in water for 20 mins. and then drinking it as a tea is the best thing. It helps with congestion, sore throat and tummt upset.

You can avoid getting sick in the first place if you take Zicam as soon as you feel something coming on. It really works!
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Ya, I would try it then. Just add lots of honey or brown sugar to it as it gets pretty "spicy".

1) Flu remedys from your doctor (Tamiflu or Relenza) 2) Lots of HOT fluids such as 3) Peppermint tea 4) Triple leaf tea - Cold and Flu Time - chinese herbs 5) Good Earth Medicinals - Tea for Colds 6) and lastly.....the old die hard standard.....chicken soup.
Hope you feel better soon!
Hugs

I second the ginger tea suggestion--I use it for everything-flu,stomach upset, gas etc....I have also used
Thera-Flu with no problem--it is a powder that you heat up in water like tea--doesn't taste bad (Lemon flavor) and feels good going down-lots of relief and no stomach upset--Feel better!
