Does anyone know their own symptoms for when a major attack is on it's way or does it just happen????

Hi Debs,
I usually have a fair idea!!
Its usually not long after eating, I get 'grumbley' and get sharp pains usually in my lower left hand side and then within 10 mins I have to rush to the toilet
Not nice

and since I'm C-IBS the pain lasts for the rest of the day until I take ambien to fall asleep. Then the ambien seems to relax the spasm that's causing the pain, but the next AM I'm always unable to have a complete clean-out. Then once I get backed up that on the first day, it usually takes 3 days to normalize again. So overall I think of an attack with C-IBS as lasting for 3 days.....at a minimum. Real bummerrrrrrrr!!

Mine just comes on no warning about 2hrs after I've eaten something. Usually I go once or twice (D) and I'm fine, but when I have a MAJOR flare up, I go sometimes 5 or 6 times and just generally feel crappy the rest of the day.

Hi! My really bad ones usually come on slowly. I'll get really bad burning pains in the belly on and off for 3 or 4 days, then my lower back starts aching and then I'll start running to the nearest loo (I'm an a but mostly d)
