I was at the fancy kitchen gadget store while the open house here was going on.. just browsing.. and blowing time until I could come home snce my work schedule changed.. anyway- I saw the new fancy rice cooker- steamer and slow cooker as well that was for sale- almost 80$ but its dishwasher safe! will have to keep that in mind, but it was the other thing I found...
MiracleWare makes a MICROWAVE rice cooker.. its specially designed to speed up the cooking in the micro- just made a snack including a cup of rice for myself in 10 minutes from start to finish.. 15 including heating up what went with it and letting it sit... YUM! and at that speed I can actually make rice when I want ot eat it, not have to put it in the rice cooker the night before nad reheat for lunch- never as good.. and I can even cook it at work itself.
just thought I'd share it was only 13$! and its dishwasher safe.

I'll have to look for one of those! I actually cook my rice in the microwave anyway, but just in a bowl... it comes out *ok*, but sometimes it's a little... uneven. (Like, uncooked in spots, overcooked in others.) I bet that cooker would solve that problem!
