He actually has left for Amsterdam. I got a message from him that there was no oatmeal at the Savoy and so I was wondering if that just an american breakfast or something. That's all.

Hey there! No worries at all - not a bother. I am happy to help. Yes, oatmeal is rather American in the sense that we have it and eat it at home (in Northern Europe), but wouldn't normally find it in a hotel. I would really suggest that your husband ask for it - I have no doubts that they will be able to make it for him (der Porridge or der Haferbrei). Oats are called Haferflocken. and I definitely think it's worth a visit. I am actually from Sweden, but Zurich has been my home for the past year and a half. The scenery is breathtaking. I hope your husband has a safe trip and don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions!
