Hi everyone. I've done a few searches and come up with nothing on this one so I hope I'm not repeating. I know we shouldn't eat nuts unless they're crushed so does this mean that when a food is labelled "may contain traces of nuts" or "manufactured with nut products" that it is okay to eat?

I don't know the official stance on that - heh - but I think that would be fine. "Traces" of nut products would be pretty darn minute. I know I eat such products pretty often, and have never had any problems.

it means they are manufactured in plants that also use nuts and there can be cross contamination, not that there is nuts... that is for people who are severely allergic, which we're not.. so far nuts in any form I've used them have been fine, but I haven't tried just eating nuts from a jar either...

Thanks again I thought it probably would be but didn't want to set myself off. It means there's a few more things I can buy for snacks. Woo hoo!
