I am not scared about starting an SFS, I just want to stop the excess gas,. Also I am a bad mentor, I ate some french fries on an empty stomach yesterday and have some cramping today, (first time in 8 weeks). However, I know why I have it and I am not letting it get me down. This is my first real cheat ever and it has really made me realise my boundaries.

RE the SFS I am concerned that I'm not getting enough fibre into me. I'll let you know if/when I start one and how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback, but that's not what I wanted to hear!

If that's your first cheat, wow, your'e good. As you see I am still drinking that one stinken can of pop every evening! And I think you are a great mentor! You have already helped me with your experiences. What SFS are you going to try? The acacia? I'm thinking of switching from Citricel to the acacia as it seems to be a popular choice on the boards. Let me know how you do.
Do you do digestive enzymes? Those seem to be popular too, as are probiotics, especially Jarrow brand. I'm trying both of these products, but don't notice a big difference, so may be just wasting money.

Yes, I am thinking of the acacia, if it works as well as the rest of Heather's diet it has to be good.
Now get rid of that can of pop and back onto the road to recovery!

Wow, didn't realize you were on the site now too! I if all of you can give up the soda, perhaps I can do it too. I don't know what else to drink though. I am sick of fennel and chamomille sp? tea all day and water too. I need something to replace it with.

Can the soluble fiber you take before the apple be an SFS or a soluble food? Does one source of soluble fiber work better than the other?

The apple is the soluble fiber and the sfs is the soluble fiber suppliment.

It is best to have the source, the apple (I would think) but I am not positive. From what I am told they work the same way and it does with me.

What beverages do you drink? Do you have a favorite brand?
