I have been drinking V8 every night and I am considering switching to V8 Low Sodium because of the high soduim the regular v8 has. Does anyone drink this one. I am always afriad to switch to something new, in fear that it will bother my stomach. I did notice one ingredients were different. Has anyone drank the low sodium V8 without a problem. I am sure it is fine, but I want to check with everyone. Thanks.

I drink the low sodium V8 every other day. I'm just starting out on this one and thought every other day to start would let me know if it's a trigger. So far no D, some gas but nothing serious. I'm letting my body adjust to something new slowly.
I'm doing okay with it and when my body lets me know I can have more, I will drink it on a daily basis.
It's safe for me and I am sure it has been mentioneed on the board.
If you can tolerate the high sodium V8, you will have no problem with low sodium V8.
Good luck!

I drink low sodium V8 almost everyday., just had one an hour ago I get the little cans so I can take them to work as a snack. If I have had it in the fridge, I do nuke it in the microwave though, I am sure if it is ice cold it may hurt the tummy. If you are ok with the regular, you should be fine with low-sodioum, (I pick low sodium everything if available). If anything it will make you feel better, since sodium has the tendency to bloat, it probably doesn't do too good for IBS.

I drink it all the time. I can't seem to keep a bottle for more than 2 days!

I used to do this too, until a doctor told me to stop! If you have low blood pressure and tend to feel bloated and tired during warm weather, you might want to try getting more salt in your diet. Yeah, salt has been demonized as much as white bread has, but it really doesn't hurt everyone. I need to have salty things when it's hot out, or else I faint or just feel crappy and weak.
Just wanted to toss this out there for the folks like me who are delicate flowers....

It is funny that you say that because I often feel that way in the heat and in the winter I always feel tired. Boy, I'm glad you told me this. Maybe I do need the salt as well. I don't have low blood pressure though. I really don't have a lot of salt throughout the day. I just saw that there was a lot of sodium and I thought over time it might be bad, but I guess it depends. I seem to get the same way you do, so I think I'll stick with the regular. Thanks!

You described me in the summer to a 'T'! I do remember someone saying that about salt on the boards earlier this summer now, it may have been you, so I had been trying to eat my pretzels with the salt on them when in the heat. I forgot all about it! But there is a heck of alot of sodium in that regular V8, and I learned in my nutrition part of Stress mgmt course last night to avoid sodium as much as possible Hmmm.... maybe when I have a chnace I will research this further.
Does stink being a delicate flower, doesn't it? I have been getting increasingly worse every year, and the summers are soooooo humid in jersey. I barely went outdoors this summer. Tan? What's that?
