Hey Augie!
I haven't figured out the calcium magnesium thing yet for myself. I used to take the dose recommended on the bottle of my Solgar's Calcium and Magnesium (seperate bottles) and it didn't effect my bowels at all. It seems for me a little extra magnesium goes a long eway....but everyone is different!
I am on low dose AD for my fibromyalgia and PMS (PMDD). I actually think I need something for anxiety NOT depresison, but tghat's me...
You should do what you think is best for you!!! And don't be embarassed here...we're all in this together and if somehting is too perosnla, we'll let you know or we'll e-mail you if it's on your user ID.
I'm SO GLAD you decided to post...it's wonderful to have you on board instead of lurking behind the scenes!
*big hugs*

What antidepressent are you on. I'm on 10 mg of desipramine which does nothing for the pain, and I believe it actually makes the constipation worse. I am also on Klonopin for anxiety, which I also believe is a bigger problem for me. We know how stress just loves to reek havoc with the intestines!
I really like you Ruchie. I've always keyed in to your responses before posting just because you seem like such a sweet person, who has been through a lot, but continues to keep going along. It helps me to see others living a life in spite of our curse of the IBS!
Do you take an SFS? What kind and how much? Citricel doesn't seem to be doing much for me personally
