Welcome, Sophia, I was in a very similar state 3 months ago, but following the advice and diet to the letter has made me feel SOOO much better. I'm amazed. I too was afraid of having to live life suffering. I'm sure you will feel better soon, just follow the diet very closely. It took my body about 1 1/2 weeks to feel significantly better. You'll get there!!!

Boiled rice, NOT spring rolls (fried), NOT prawn crackers (ditto). I usually have something like Kung Po King Prawn and leave some veggies.

I think she's right abotu the Mebeverine, it must not be the anti-spasmodic for you. BUT I have taken 4 in the UK, and I think it's just a matter of finding the right one so don't give up! I take Celevac tablets now, that are chewable and they have helped a lot. I don't think they are anti-spasmodic but they are good. As well as being put on a low-dose anti-depressant for the anxiety I had about getting sick while I was travelling! I also just wanted to say Hi and welcome to the boards! I agree with going on the "What to Eat when you can't eat anything" diet for a few days to get settled, too. And the immodium advice is good, too. Good luck! Steph
