I'd like to start drinking fennel tea as a staple in my diet. I though about making it iced... My main IBS issues are constipation (moderate) and bloating (severe at times).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make an ice tea with fennel & peppermint? I can tolerate sugar & add "Torani" coffee syrups for sweetening/flavoring. However, I realize this is will be consumed primarily for IBS symptoms & therefore would appreciate "other ingrediants."

Thanks, I love this place!!!

Bob.

Well, my only suggestions are the same whether you drink it hot or cold: brew it as strong as you can stand it, chill it, and yep, sugar is fine. I don't know about the Torani syrups, though - what's the ingredients in those? No high-fructose corn syrup or anything weird, I hope?

the only thing for concern is probably the citric acid. It's definately trial and error w. me. Gave up sodas, this week. I found it was more the carbonation and acids that disturb my gut. I seem to be able to tolerate corn syrup in moderation. Yet, there wasn't mention of it in the ingredients...it's very much more like "sugar water" than syrup.

The funny thing is I don't really miss the taste of the sodas (or the misery of lying on my bed at night belching for 30-minutes.)

Thank you for your input. It's appreciated.

PS. you have some great recipes.
