I have been feeling pretty good lately!! I have only had two realy bad days in the last 13. It was when I was ovulating!! I have started taking Gas X (thanks Michele) every day and boy has that made a huge differance. NO SIDE PAIN IN TWO DAYS!!!!!! I started my SFS on Satureday so far so good!! I am taking 1/4 teaspoon once a day and I hope to bump it up to 1/2 teaspoon in a week!! I will keep increasing till I get to where I need to be!!!

Just wanted to share some happy news for a change!!! I a realy feeling better. Until my P comes but that is ok because I know once that is done I will feel good again!!!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

That is WONDERFUL Heather. Doesn't it feel great to be able to post good news!

I am doing great too, my positive humour has lasted all week now- I cheated a bit when I went home to my parents place (I had some jaffacake biscuits that are chocolate coated, a couple of french fries(ok 6) and some creamcake in my Gran's place- I couldn't say no to Gran!)

I am really testing my wellness and positive mood so fingers crossed, I will keep you updated!

Good work Heather, I gave in and am not really suffering yet, I will absolutely not allow myself have fizzy drinks or chocolate though becuase I have kicked those habits and if I go back on them I will get addicted again and pile back on the weight AND have a sore tummy.

Hurray for us and being well! Its nice to have a "well buddy" cos we joined the boards around the same time and have been sick at the same time too...

well my hair isn't REALLY blonde...not always anyway.

Lets be "honorary twins" or we could set up a club like "the 1976ers" and find any other 28 year olds on the boards.

Talk more tomorrow, its that time of night where I have to go to bed, Hope you have a nice Sunday evening, mine was good!

gas x was a big help for me too.. and then I found that once I was stabilized on a SFS I only needed it occasionally, and could stop taking it daily...

Since I have had endometriosis I am always conscious of the endo-IBS connection. If you feel really rotten during your periods, I am wondering if there is a chance you could have endo.

You might bring this up with your doctor. GI problems are very common among women with endo.
