I might be switching to Benefiber for a week when I go on my honeymoon. I was given a suggestion as to how to take it on the plain, but I am not sure if I want to take the chance of having it taken away from me and not having any fiber for a week.

If I take three (by that time I will be up to three, now I am at two tabelspoons) how much Benefiber is equivalant to this? Anyone know? I have heard these fibers are very similar.

check the Benefiber label - the Acacia has 4.5 grams of soluble fiber per tablespoon, so just see how the Benefiber compares. If you don't want to switch for the week, you could also just put Acacia in the Benefiber bottle for your trip. That would handle the airport security and keep you on the same fiber so you don't have to worry about switching back and forth.

Thanks Heather. That's true. They are the same color. You never know, the airport security could be pros and know what color Benefiber is. So, atleast they are the same color, I am releived now! Thanks!

Hi LauraSue,

How are you? It's a beautiful day out today isn't it. It's about time right after that crummy weather.
Yes, I am a bride to be. A bride to be with a jittery stomach. But a happy one at that! The big day is December 5th.

I am about to switch from benefiber to acacia... benefiber has only 3 grams of fiber per tablespoon... so you'd need 1.5* what you need of the acacia in amount!
