All right, guys, another question. Sorry I'm asking so much, fairly soon I'll be able to start mellowing out. Anyway, I am looking into Heather's Tummy Teas. I'm not a big Peppermint fan, so I may just take capsules if I do anything with Peppermint. But I have never heard of Fennel. Could any of you describe what Fennel tea tastes like? I'd hate to order something, then not like it. Any descriptions of taste, or your results from Fennel and/or Chamomile tea would be appreciated. (I do know I like Chamomile.) Thanks, all!

You can Fennel Tea at your HFS in tea bags. They are not as strong as Heather's but if you want to just try it out it is only about 5.00 bucks for a box.

Then you will know if you want to order it from Heather. I do belive hers is much stronger and probbaly more effective.
Good Luck

Fennel tea has a licorice taste to it. Some people love the taste, while others (myself included) like mixing it with another type of tea like peppermint or ginger.

or do what I do- buy the seeds in bulk at the HFS and put it in a tea ball. I can make it as strong or weak as i want.. I tend to add some peppermint to it.. I like the ocmbined taste.

Traditional Medicinals Tea can be found it he Health Food Section of your grocery store. Wal-Mart doens't carry it. The Eaters Digest is a combination of peppermint, fennel and other stuff. Neither taste is really strong...fennel is not my favorite. I tolerate Eaters Digest better than almost anything.

Fennel tea has a licorice taste and can be found at your local HFS. You can also get the capsules from GNC or some other vitamin store.

I love Chamomile but cannot take the Fennel as it gives me gas something awful.

I found a tea by Yogi Teas called StomachEase. It has a great taste and contains Fennel, Peppermint, Ginger Root and Black Pepper. Its is a very soothing tea for the tummy. I also take Heather's Peppermint Capsules 3 x per day.

Good Luck.

Hi Alicia,

If you like licorice you'll like fennel. It has a similar flavor, one I've never gotten used to, maybe because I'm not a big fan of licorice, BUT it's my one and only choice for bloating/gas and general misery. You learn to use what WORKS and change your way of thinking and not base your choice on whether you LIKE something or not. It works so fast it amazes me and I now wouldn't be without it. I make it strong, as recommended.

However, for pains the peppermint pills are the best, if you don't want the tea. They aren't as fast acting as the tea and should be taken in between meals.

Chamomile is a pleasant tea but I don't feel has the kick to it as much as the others for ab distress. Ginger tea helps the nausea and is good for digestion.

TM's ED is a great tea and none of the flavors overpower the others. Thanks for mentioning.

Another tip someone brought up from the past was to mix a tea that you don't like the flavor of with the Good Earth tea................the cinnamon flavor is so strong it would cover any thing up.

That is what I drink but I have had a hard time finding it lately. The store has everything but Eater's Digest! I have to go 45 minutes to get it ( or send the mother-in-law). I checked another store yesterday and they had 30 kinds but not Eater's Digest.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
