Cold medicine suggestions??

I just got an awful cold this weekend and I was wondering if there was a certain medicine that works best without upsetting your stomach?? I know that antibiotics can cause a lot of trouble but has anyone had any luck with a store bought medicine? Thanks!

I just take straight-up Nyquil, but I always take half an adult dose, and I find it works just fine.
Actually, want to know what's kooky? My IBS never bothers me when I've got a cold. Maybe I should take a daily dose of Nyquil for the heck of it.

Just be careful reading the ingrediants as lots of the all-in-one type cold medicines have other stuff like sweeteners in that you don't want! Paracetamol and a decongestant is always good!

Ive sorda noticed that my IBS is less of a problem when I have a cold too! Its things like that that make me really think that stress and constantly thinking about my stomach are my BIGGEST triggers because if I have my mind on other things or if Im on vacation or somthing like than I feel almost 100% better! Who knows! Anyways Ill just shop around and read ingredients when I go to look for a cold medicine - thanks for the replies!
