sliced chicken breast from the deli would be safe as well. Many do ok with tuna on sandwiches, though I do not.

Ground turkey would be fine as long as it is white meat only and does not have the skin ground in.

I do deli meat at least once a week sara lee makes a overn roasted turkey or chicken thats good and 99% fat free. Trader Joes has a oven roasted turkey with nothing added to it! They also have deli meats that are fat free and very good. I also eat the turkey at subway when I am out. I also eat honey suckle ground turkey the 93/7 and the perude ground chicken. Hth

Well, I may get chewed out for this, but I stay away from deli meats not because of the IBS issue but because they're not all that healthy - they've been linked to cancer. So I maybe eat them once in a blue moon.

It's the nitrites and other dangerous additives that may lead to cancer, not the meat itself. There are unprocessed, additive free lunch meats out there - I buy Applegate Farms, which is simply a roasted and sliced turkey with no preservatives.
