Besides IBS-C and IBS-D there is IBS-A which alternates between C & D. Generally speaking, other than IF consumption the treatment of both are quite similar. In fact recent research shows that IBS-C can benefit from a reduction of IF and and increase in SF. Separating the IBS diet board into different forums for IBS-C, IBS-D and IBS-A will not likely help much.

It would be helpful if everyone would indicate if they are IBS-C, IBS-D and IBS-A with or without pain in their signature line. This will give a clue to the person who is answering the posting. The signature line can be setup using the "My Home" link above these postings.
