Hi Everyone, I just wanted to know if giving my little five year old with IBS would be a bad thing. I am trying to get her some calcium somewhere. She loves it and I don't notice it being a specific trigger food.
Thanks! Katheryn

Hi, You should post questions on the Eating for IBS Diet Board, you'll get a lot more responses. The living room is more for non-IBS talk.
The orange juice is not a 'safe' drink, that is treat it like IF. I find if I have too much orange juice I have problems, more so than eating the fruit itself.
If you're looking to get her more calcium, you can also try a milk alternative such as soy, rice or almond milk, that is fortified with calcium. Also, I recently found oatmeal that is fortified with calcium at my health food store, if she likes oatmeal.

My nephew who is five, decided not to drink cow's milk because he thinks it's gross that it came from a cow! But the CHOCOLATE soy milk is a big hit with him, he loves it! Even his little sis, who will eat/drink anything, prefers it over choc moo-juice!
