Right now I'm taking Citrucel Clear Mix as my fiber supplement and will be switching over to Acacia. The Citrucel Clear mix is supposed to be tasteless but still had a little hint of taste to it. So I was wondering what I should expect when I take the Acacia? Does it really have no flavor at all?
Thanks

Well to me there is a taste to it. It's a familiar "bland" taste that I haven't been able to pinpoint yet. Anyone know what I mean? It's very subtle, but there. I don't find the taste very 'good', but it's definately tolerable. (Also know that I'm pregnant and I have heightened sense of smell and taste right now, so that may be part of it!LOL) If you mix it in to something other than water you can hardly notice the taste.

No taste. And when you mix it in your tea (yes, you CAN mix it in your tea -- you don't have to mix it in plain water), it doesn't get thick at all. Great stuff.
When you switch over, be sure to start out at the same dosage as your Citrucel powder.

i agree with Bev (again).
i toss it just about anything. my tea, my food, my smoothie. never noticed a taste.
if you put it in tea, though, make sure you toss it in the water when the water is still cool/cold/room temp, then heat the water.... apparently it doesn't dissolve as nicely in hot water.

I agree with this - it tastes kinda like purified water to me! But then I now put it in something and you can't taste a thing then. But Jen is right, mix it with COLD liquid. Treat it like cornflour - if you put it into hot liquid it goes all lumpy and takes ages to stir in. Took me a while to work this one out!

I find it has a taste too. I mixed it in plain water once at a restaurant and couldn't drink it. The water was really cold (with lots of ice) and I couldn't get it to dissolve, it was all lumpy. I mix mine with a little apple or grape juice (I know I shouldn't but I like it and it doesn't bother my stomach) or koolaid as a last resort (I hate tea, can't drink it at all).

Absolutely taste free. And it works wonders for me. Good luck!

I find it will make plan water taste funny. I mix mine with my miralax in a druit juice each morning and don't taste it at all. But I have found it to get lumpy, like it doens't want to dissolve in some juices??!!

Michelle, I mix mine with fruit juice too and I do notice that it does get clumpy sometimes if I try to mix it directly with the juice. I drink mine in a water bottle and I put about a quarter bottle of room temp water in the bottom of the water bottle, add the acacia and shake it up, it mixes really well. (Don't ever put the acacia and then the water in, it will stick in the bottom of the bottle and won't dissolve all the way). Then I pour in the fruit juice and shake it again. I like to cut my fruit juice down with some water anyway, just so I don't get as much fructose.

I find that the best way to dissolve Acacia is to put it in a cup and then add a little milk or water and stir. You do need to stir this way, but it works. I THEN add it to my drink.
